Daydreaming

Last night I had a dream
And at first it didn't seem
Like whence came morning
I could read between
The lines and find the meaning
Of just what I was dreaming
Like why my heart was bleeding
Or why my soul was screaming
Louder than a jet engine
Reminding me what I'm missin'
That for which I keep wishin'
Monogamy and pure bliss
But what to do if they're gone
The one you keep your mind on
From dusk until you see dawn
'Cause they're the seed that God's sown
In all three of your being's pieces
To fill all gaps and creases
As much as he or she needs it
Until your time on earth ceases
Then I awoke and realized
This dream took place in daylight
Don't know why but I sighed
My dream's the love of my life
Then I wondered if she knows me
Knows she's all that I see
The other human half of me
Maybe I'm just daydreaming
