I Would

I would stand in the rain
I would beg for spare change
If it meant you'd never leave
I would never make you wait
I'd love you asleep and awake
If you stayed by my side
I would body block bullets
Show I love you to the fullest
Whenever and always
I would never make you ask
Or ever put you last
You supersede my needs
I would make a home for us
Talk it out, subtract the fuss
You're the queen of my heart
I would do all this and more
Because my soul moves with yours
I was made to love you

I'll be in the smoky spoken word spots in the Chi spittin' a few lines before year's end. I need to do the poor man's copyright or something with this stuff.

i'm feeling this poem with it's effortless commitment to love and being in love.

blu - Glad you felt something. Simplicity in love is what we're all striving to mimic and obtain, right? No conditions. Always willing to do whatever is necessary.
