The last time I had a "vacation" I was giving a speech in Naples, Florida and it was in the low 40's and 30's while I was there. Global Warming - 1, Me - 0. I was also supposed to go to Ghana, all expenses paid just like Naples until the program director for my advising job decided to take his brother. So, here I sit with a passport, some extra cash and nowhere I really, really want to visit. Isn't that a shame? One of my boys wants to go to Miami at the end of this month for about 6 days. The plane tickets are dirt cheap, and the hotel is reasonable too. However, I have no real notion of what Miami has to offer other than a beach, bars, and clubs. Whoopty-do...it's almost every other big city plus a white sand beach and cosmetic surgery hounds. :(
I was thinking about Vegas, then I realized there's nothing going on. Pops really wants to see Toni Braxton in Vegas with her sexy self, but meh. I don't know if me and Vegas are a good fit. I can play BlackJack and Poker for free on my phone, computer, and dining room table. I'm almost kinda glad I went when I was too young to do anything because I have an exploratory personality. I'd probably come home with at least $200 on my credit card from hitting the casino floor and a major distaste for "entertainment".
Where does that leave? Hawaii, Europe, South America, The Caribbean, and Asia. Any suggestions?

Are you traveling alone? That would make a difference to where you should vacate.
If I had the money, I'd go to Europe. Italy and France to be exact. Ever since seeing "Under the Tuscan Sun", I've had the burning desire to experience the beauty of Tuscany. The movie had me feenin B. Have you ever seen it?
go on a cruise!
I might end up going to MIA with some friends. If not, I think I'll save for a ski trip this coming winter. A lot of my friends want to go to the east coast for a black ski retreat. I want to go to Colorado myself.
if i had the cash, The caribbean or Europe most definitely...or save for the South Africa trip...
My only issue is who to go with. There are only a few issues:
-good relationship with the person
-their personality
-their finances
-availability
-location
So far I haven't found anyone that meets that criteria. If I go, I definitely want to enjoy myself, and going alone does not fit anywhere in that equation.
