Let's Not Pretend

Love on the surface
Lying to you on purpose
Knowing life together worthless
Because we're not in love

So why stay together
Hoping it'll get better
Knowing the storm we can't weather
The wind's far too strong

A major lack of passion
Only cordial in passing
If not passing, then clashing
Why does it hurt so bad

Should I be ashamed
Or say farewell to this game
Like the moth and the flame
I'm killing myself

They say it's 20/20
Looking back, not in front me
Where's the spontaneity
Like our bond, it's gone

what's that picture of? is your computer smoking?

That's a picture of smoke in a glass. I couldn't find a picture of smoke and mirrors to symbolize the imaginary relationship portrayed in the piece...so I settled for smoke ;)
